Women in Aviation, International (WAI) is a nonprofit organization that encourages the advancement of women in all aviation career fields and interests.
WAI began in 1990 and was formally established in 1994 as a nonprofit organization. The first International Women in Aviation Conference was held in Prescott, Arizona, in 1990. The 2009 Conference will be held in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, February 26th -28th!
The MTSU WAI Chapter consists of future women and men pilots, dispatchers, air traffic controllers, and mechanics forming together to network and learn more about aviation and become aerospace enthusiasts!
| MTSU WAI Chapter Our Chapter stays actively involved in the community by requiring a minimum of 20 hours of communiy service per member. We offfer a silent auction and a guest speaker to the entire campus community as well as the public. This years chapter is working together to organize a 5k charity run to help MTSUWAI go to conferance as well as having each participant bring a bag of dog or cat food to donate to Saving Bully Breeds, a local large breed rescue.

Our 14,000+ membership includes astronauts, corporate pilots, maintenance technicians, air traffic controllers, business owners, educators, journalists, flight attendants, high school and university students, air show performers, airport managers and many others."
